In the not-too-distant future, in January 2029, a daffodil blooms. Living for a few short days in a garden on the outskirts of the city, a group of humans will care for it and let it grow. This is also where it dies. Indication of Spring at the End of Time asks why it is often so difficult to imagine the near future. The piece reverses traditional forms and accustomed moral concepts of storytelling – in this case the fable. It shows a non-human approach to time and a practice of changing perception. Between dance performance and reading, Clay AD builds a micro-world that attempts to move through death and grief, seeing it as a necessity in the emotional process of living together on our planet today.
